From Nara, my husband's hometown, Mother-in-law sent us Japanese sweets of Kikuya. Kikuya is famous for its authentic Japanese sweets mainly used for tea ceremonies.
All the sweets tasted so nice, but also the packages are so pretty. Some patterns looked like those of kimonos.
着物に関係はないが、日本のものの美しさを少しご紹介。
奈良の義母から菊屋のお茶菓子が届いた。味もさることながら、パッケージもきれい。こんな柄の小紋、着てみたい、とか妄想してしまう。
By the way, it's still a long way to complete my hand-made yukata. It's still a long strip of textile.
しかし、ゆかたはまだまだ完成を見ない…
